[Last Name]: Sakuragi
[First Name]: Kotonoha
[Nickname]: Koto!!
[Gender]: Female
[Age]: 18
[Birthday]: September 4, xxxx
[Height]: 5 feet
[Orientation]: Whichever [whatever happens, happens]
[Status]: Single single single
[Grade]: 2nd year
[Class]: B

[Course]: Composer!
[Voice]: Singing voice (since her speaking voice is a bit higher. ALSO! The kind of songs she likes to compose and how she plays the piano)
[Idol Partner]: Masamune Inoue

[Personality]:
Koto is incredibly paranoid. She jumps to conclusions and she often thinks of herself as a problem. This hinders her from meeting new people or interacting with a lot of them. She overthinks a lot of situations and it often leads to nothing good. She tends to panic and worries about the simplest of things, making every little thing a problem. Although, she tries to get over this, it is something she apparently can't get rid of. She is also shy and quite reserved, not at all used to starting conversations. It takes a lot of her to approach strangers and to speak in front of a rather large crowd. And when she does speak, she stutters and mumbles, and her voice could sometimes become too soft to hear, but once she's able to get passed her shyness, she's actually quite pleasant to talk to. She's gentle and motherly, and would worry about anyone's well being. When she becomes extra worried, she tends to nag or scold, but that's only because she cares. Koto is most of the time jealous. Especially towards her friends. She can become very attached and she worries that other people may take her friends away from her, making her a little possessive. But she's determine and hard-working, or rather she's a bit of a work-a-holic. She isn't all that intellegent to begin with. She just enjoys staying up nights studying and writing and working all that she can, giving everything her best effort. Koto is loyal. She loves her friends like no other and wouldn't dream of betraying any of them. Being said that she gets attached, she would never leave a friend's side no matter what the situation and would give anything to make her friends happy.

[History]:
It was just 2 years ago when I decided to be a composer. I have a habit of making last minute decisions, you see. Which is odd considering that I take forever to make one, making absolute sure that nothing goes wrong. My name? Sakuragi Kotonoha. But I'm called Koto for short.

I technically grew up by myself. My father was a university head, and my mother was an insurance consultant. Big jobs they may seem, but we're not all that of a rich family, especially since my mother needed clients to earn money but that was something terribly hard for her to get. I had a nanny growing up since mom and dad would be out often; I rarely got to see my father, and when mother was home, she would stay in her room making calls and typing out charts, there was no one to actually pay attention to me. My nanny took care of making my food, clothing me, taking me to school and back. She taught me several other things too like how to cook and clean and sew, things I needed to know just in case she needed to leave and I had to take care of myself. When I turned 9, that eventually happened, and I did have to do the things she said I would. I cleaned the house and cooked myself food and the like. It didn't bother me much, really, although others assume it would. I had plenty of stuffed animals that kept me company when I was alone. Silly, I know it is, but they made me happy and until now they still do.

Music has been a big part of my life and it always will be. I first got inspired to play the piano when I heard our neighbor playing. She was not that much older than I was, she was probably 15 then. She was in highschool, that's what I knew. Her name was Mizuki, and she played like no other. Her gate was open and so was their glass door, their grand piano being right next to it. I peeked through the gate and watched her play. It was lively yet gentle and it warmed my heart, making me feel all fuzzy inside. I kept listening until her dog barked at me. He was big, a labrador, I'm guessing, and he was chained to his dog house, but he must've smelled me or sensed me, whatever it is that dogs do, and he warned the home owners of their "intruder". Mizuki-san stopped to look outside and smiled when she saw me just standing there. "Is there something you need?" I recalled her asking as she hushed down her dog. "P-please play that song again.." I pleaded. I didn't know what drove me to say such but I just had to hear her play. She laughed and she brought me into her home and made me sit beside her on the piano's bench and she began to play again.

Day after day, I spent my afternoons with her. School started to become tough for me and the kids weren't exactly all too friendly. The moment we got dismissed, I headed to her house. I discovered she could sing, and she wrote songs too and I loved to listen to them all. She taught me how to play the piano and showed me how to read and write notes just as she did. I told her that I wanted to write songs like she did and play them like how she played them too, she agreed to that.

After a while, when I'd peek inside her house, she wasn't at the piano, or she wouldn't be at home. When I do get to catch her there, she wouldn't tell me why she had been missing, she'd just tell me to keep on playing her the music she taught me. I've gained a friend by this time and I'd play with him at the play ground when she wasn't available. He knew how to sing too, and I'd give him tunes to sing along to. I tried to make little melodies then I'd sing it with him, sometimes I'd play him the songs she'd taught me when he came over to my house.

I still tried visiting Mizuki-san, but it became harder and harder to. Suddenly their gates were locked, which was something that didn't happen often. When I'd look up, her curtains were closed. I was 13 when I last saw her, she gave me a few of her music sheets and told me to keep writing music. She looked weak, and pale, and her fingers would tremble when I held them. The next day, she was gone. Her house was empty, her big dog no longer barked. The grand piano I had loved so much, disappeared. It saddened me greatly...until now I still miss her. But I keep the knowledge she taught me and if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be here.

For the next few years before enrolling in Saotome High. I spent my days volunteering at pre-schools and day care centers, playing the piano for the kids like what Mizuki-san did with me. I insipred a few of them to play and gosh did it feel amazing. To know that I could influence these children like how she influenced me. I wrote a few more songs, though they didn't end up as good as hers but the children seemed to love them. Playing the piano was apparently how I expressed myself, and I gained a lot of confidence since I learned, I am able to speak through my songs and it felt good to have people understand me just by listening to the songs I play.

I was going through Mizuki-san's music sheets and a few of her notes on piano playing again when I found out about the school she studied in. She wrote it down on the corners of her compositions, probably to properly credit her teachers. "Saotome High", it said. I did the rest of the research myself, later discovering it was a music school. I instantly wanted to be a part of it. Mother and father didn't really mind about what I did, so it wasn't hard for me to get in. I just want to write more songs, songs as good as Mizuki-san's. And perhaps I could finally get my parent's attention with the music I create. And that is why I'm here, studying to be the very best composer I can be. Maybe through this I could thank Mizuki-san for the kindness she had given me, by contributing to music with the songs I write inspired my hers. Its a simple dream but one I will try my absolute best to achieve.

[About her singing]:
Koto doesn't actually sing aloud, unless she's with little children whom she thinks won't judge her as harshly. She finds it hard to sing loudly, especially in front of people, it makes her voice crack and she often messes up the melody, going off key. What makes her singing quite important is that she's very good at coming up with harmonies and blending; she's very good at adding spice into a song with second voices and different harmonies. Since her singing is soft, whoever's main singer would remain emphasized throughout the whole song, Koto's main purpose being adding effects.

[Instruments]:
{PIANO} Her main instrument and what she's very comfortable in. Though she can't play fast, complex pieces since she never really took piano lessons.

{GUITAR} She learned how to play a bit but due to the fact that her fingers are small and quite weak, she's unable to properly press down a lot of chords. She can mostly play G, A, C and B minor but that's pretty much it. So don't count on her to play any guitar for anything. Also the strings seem to hurt her fingers so she prefers not to play them.

*Koto does want to learn how to play the flute but never got around to it. She keeps saying she would but it never actually happens.

[About Hobo the Bear]
Hobo is a stuffed orange bear that Koto brings around everywhere, unless of course she's bathing or she's not allowed to, which actually upsets her. Hobo's been her best friend for years, being the first stuffed animal Koto hand-made. Because of this his arms are way too short for his body, his legs too long; his stuffing also quite uneven. But she loves him to bits and will not have anyone make fun of him or hurt him. She talks to him on a normal basis but would whisper when in front of people.

[Additional Info]:
*Although she can cook, she can only make simple Japanese food, nothing else too extravagant (though she knows how to decorate a good bento)
*The only thing she can bake are cookies, she tends to mess up everything else
*Usually seen drinking Melon Soda, its her favorite thing in the world
*Envies people who can draw since she can't
*Has glasses but refuses to wear them. She only wears them at home or in her dorm room
*She doesn't like contacts either since they make her feel uncomfortable
***Always wears a butterfly necklace. The chain changes every now and then, she wasn't very good at keeping them. The tiny butterfly pendant is extremely important to her though, it being a gift from her childhood friend.
*Sensitive around her ears
*Don't touch her nose either
*Has bad memory
*Curious beyond belief
*is very affectionate and loves being all touchy-feely
*has a slight anxiety problem
*Still spends her free time with children or at the playground
*Being a fan of all things traditional, she would gladly spend her money on things that relate to traditional items
*She has a collection of kimonos and yukatas, as well as traditional hair ornaments. she also has a mochi making machine (all of which are things she worked and saved up for.
*usually ends up either burning her tongue, biting her tongue, or biting her lips when she eats
*would often lie and deny things if it would mean preventing anyone from worrying about her (though this often leads to more trouble)
*apologizes about everything
*doesn't actually care much about insults and rumors (she became quite immune to them)
*what she does care for are getting the people she cares about associated with such insult/rumor
*really wants to get married (really badly)
